Great protein for the price

I'm not vegan but tried this protein because whey protein has become quite expensive like everything else in 2022. The texture runs chalky, but it tastes fine and doesn't clump up or anything. It's not as good to drink as whey, but it's not unpleasant like some protein powders I've had before. Little to no aftertaste too.

The best protein ever!

I was supprised by its maximum effectiveness. I've used many protein brands before but this protein from brown rice is the best one ever!!! Its taste is horrible tho but the effectiveness is more important than the taste for me. Hope Myprotein don't discontinue this amazing product!

Cheap way to get your protein, but taste is bad.

I won't lie, the taste is not good. It reminds me of the protein my HS football coach used to get in the early 2000s before they perfected how to make protein with good flavor and mixability. It is grainy, chalky, and the flavor is very muted. That being said this is about half the price of whey, and if you are someone like me who can stand the taste, it is a great budget option to get your daily protein needs in as well as staying away from animal products.

Meh

I thought it would be better from the Pea protein and in some ways, it is but the chocolate flavor gives off a harsh coco taste. I will be trying the Vegan blend next.

Great for building muscle

I like this protein mainly because of its effectiveness, it doesn't taste the greatest but it is worth it.

I would suggest a different one.

I bought this and the Pea protein (isolate) and this one is noticeably not as great tasting or smelling. I would definitely suggest going for the Pea protein. The taste is very chalky and it smells unappetizing, even with a blender. But I got it 'cause it was cheap so in that regard I am satisfied.

AMAZING Vegan Protein (No flatulence!!)

I was not entirely prepared for the flavor profile of the brown rice protein isolate, however, having this said, I am now very happy to report, after subtle expectation adjustments, that this product is of very high quality. I initially experienced difficulties in getting the brown rice protein to mix--often experiencing clumping at the bottom of the cup. After modifying my process I am happy to report that the brown rice protein mixes extremely well if you fill your cup with 6-8 oz of warm water/milk and then add the scoop to the TOP of the cup before mixing. This completely mitigates ALL clumping and results in a perfectly mixed solution. It's important to note that the flavor profile of the brown rice protein is very different from that of whey OR pea protein--this protein is slightly more grainy/textured relative to the whey and even the Pea protein, but is still absolutely delicious!!!!! At this price, macronutrient profile, and taste--MyProtein cannot be usurped!

Vegan Protein good, THIS vegan protein though...

So the macros, the price, the shipping times, the fact fact that it's vegan are all things I can get behind.. But the taste is one of the worst I've had. In all honesty, the vegan proteins I usually get from MyProtein (Typically The Vegan Blend or the The Vegan Diet Bland when they carried that one) are never the tastiest. But I still would buy them because of the price and macros on them, and they aren't terrible when mixed with oatmeal, sweetener, and some fruit. So I decided to try the brown rice Vanilla Chai (Maybe the flavor choice was my mistake, but I didn't hate it on the Vegan Blend). This is one of the worst flavors of vegan protein I've ever had. It's gritty, even mixed in oats, and has a terrible aftertaste. In hindsight, I should've stuck with the Vegan Blend, but if I were you, avoid the Brown Rice Vanilla Chai. Hoping chocolate is better based off other reviews, but I am pretty disappointed.

Easy to mix, tastes okay, good protein per servings.

I complement the brown rice protein powder with pea protein powder. You really can't beat the price as for as protein content per serving goes. The brown rice protein is powdery/grainy and mixes well. I get the chocolate flavor, and I enjoy it.
Goes Well With:
Pea Protein Isolate, almond milk, or water.

Decent

I bought the chocolate brown rice protein and it has been decent. Mixed it with almond milk and was not bad at all. Putting this on something like oatmeal did not taste as good as drinking it with almond milk or a shake. Very easy on the stomach which i have been happy with.
