Good stuff

Good value for the price. It tastes a bit earthy, but I don't mind and mixes well with a blender.

Good Whey Alternative

Know what you are buying, pea protein does not mix great with traditional shakers, it mixes good enough, but leaves more chunks than whey protein isolate typically does and the pea protein chunks do not taste good in the unflavored version. Great source of protein that is very gentle on the stomach, really good for anyone who has lactose issues, and Myprotein has the best prices around. I will buy again.

silk chocolate almond/cashew milk, chocolate lactaid milk

Really good

I have had Myprotein's Brown Rice Protein (puke-tastic) and the Vegan Blend, and this Pea Protein Isolate is easily the best. Got the chocolate flavor on all three; the Brown Rice was horrendously bad tasting--only possible to stomach it by mixing with almond milk, forget just water or mixing into oatmeal. The Vegan Blend was more manageable--now I know that is thanks to the Pea Protein in there--but overall not great. This Pea Protein tastes so much better it isn't funny. Not as chalky as the other two, and no gag-tastic aftertaste. I can drink it as a shake, and crucially, mix it into my oatmeal and still enjoy it. Also not experiencing the stomach discomfort which seems to have come from the Brown Rice Protein. The only downside is so far the mixability hasn't been stellar. Have been getting a few big clumps in my shaker bottle. But it's definitely worth dealing with a few clumps to avoid the horrible taste of the other proteins.

Almond milk, oatmeal

Great taste, ingredients, and nutritional profile!

This is a great, affordable vegan protein option for just 100 calories a scoop (I got the chocolate flavor). It has the typical vegan protein pea-taste, but I expected this taste and don't mind it (I actually enjoy it as a nice break from whey protein powder and for the thickness it provides). I love that this is sweetened naturally and has a short ingredient list. Will purchase again!

Good taste and works well in shakes/bowls but EXTREMELY sweet

Great taste except for the sweetness. Need to heavily dilute to cut the aspartame aftertaste. The sweetener makes the shake taste like a diet coke
Goes Well With:
peanut butter, banana, coconut

Best Pea Protein I've Come Cross

Very neutral taste and mixes well (I get unflavored). This is the best tasting Pea Protein I have had and it does not have the high sodium levels that other pea proteins have. Great turnaround from purchase to delivery as well.
Goes Well With:
Smoothies, peanut butter, chocolate, oatmeal.

This protein is great! It mixes incredibly easy and the chocolate flavor is soo yummy. I can't imagine people saying they have problems mixing it. I just use 8oz water and a shaker. I like using this and brown rice protein to cover all my bases in protein supplements. Definitely recommend!
Goes Well With:
The chocolate is really good just with water, but it's great mixed with peanut butter and bananas, etc.

Good Product, expensive to flavor

Good protein. Everyone who doesn't like the taste or texture, hasn't read up on plant proteins. Yes, it is different than whey, very different. The unflavored is a good deal, but definitely not the best tasting. Its crazy that its 8 dollars more to add flavoring for the 2.2lbs and 20 dollars more for the 5.5 pounds.

Not a whey shake alternative!

2
Overall:

I got this with the hope of using a more ecologically sustainable product for my daily shake. In short, after 4 days of trying I can not stomach this at all. It is waaay too thick and gloopy, and really does go down like "drinking" barely reconstituted peas. Which is to say, like a mealy brick that takes up 5x more space in my stomach than usual. Not at all an alternative to the impact protein isolate I've been drinking with pleasure for years now. I tried it with oat milk, water, and a combination of both, and increased the amount of liquid incrementally (always with 1 banana). Nothing makes it any better. Back to impact whey isolate it is. I am going to try to use this for making bars, so hopefully the 5 lb bag won't go to waste. I think it's properties may be better suited to that. As a shake though, not a chance.
