This stuff tastes really great and isn’t chalky or grainy like most proteins. Only draw back is it doesn’t mix in very well without using a blender. It clumps like crazy unless blended but i don’t mind it since once i do blend it up it’s so yummy.
Goes Well With:
I blend it with my coffee, some ice cubes and almond milk for a delicious Frappuccino type drink!

Disappointed in the formula change

If you look at my purchase order history, you'd see I've been buying these bags of Soy Isolate consistently for quite awhile. It seems the formula and quality of this protein has changed with the latest bags I've received. It tastes saltier and does not mix well - I've never had issues mixing this protein before and now there's always little fish egg like clumps. I have to endure through two full bags of this poor experience before I switch to a different product. It was my favorite product until as of late.

Transition

The biggest hurdles switching from whey to soy was the diminished flavor and residue/texture it left behind. Not enough water/milk and you find yourself chewing the beverage. However, having elevated cholesterol, the low saturated fat and cholesterol content is worth it. Also, the results appear to be better than the whey. Going to also try Pea Protein and see where I settle.
Goes Well With:
Milk, almond milk. I’d avoid water, which I had used with whey protein.

The price is right, the taste is cardboard

First- this is the cheapest protein per gram (of pure protein) I could find anywhere, after comparing a bunch of different products, so that's good. And it's plant-based, which is great for the planet. However, compared to the smooth taste and texture of whey protein, this tastes like vanilla-flavored powdered cardboard. It also seems much thicker than whey - perhaps it's just more dense.
Goes Well With:
Smoothies with tons of fruit to mask the taste.

Honestly Freaking Grand

This is by far the best protein I have tried. The texture is smooth, not grainy or sandy. The plain protein's flavor is neutral. Between the two flavored versions, I prefer the chocolate one, but frankly both are great. I tend to add a bit of my own stevia or other zero calorie sweetener, but I wouldn't say that it needs it. (Usually what I do is mix the unflavored one with the chocolate one, then add some sweetener. I like to keep the texture a bit thicker by not adding soo much water. It quite literally tastes like chocolate pudding. Would recommend!) I love how protein dense this stuff is. My only issue is that I don't like the plastic packaging. I really hope to see the packing move to a more environmentally friendly/sustainable option!

I have found that it dissolves the best in water. I like to mix mine into oatmeal or smoothie or plant based milks, so the best way to do that is to mix it with water first and then combine everything. Either that or just blend it if a blender makes sense for the particular thing. Also, I like to mix the unflavored soy protein with any other flavored protein because it helps to temper the flavor a bit and make other proteins (like Vega) a smoother texture.

Does not mix well

I ordered the vanilla stevia flavor. It tastes decent at best. The product does not mix well in water or fruit smoothie. Has a chalk-like texture and leaves a thick residue in cup (when blended) and in my shaker bottle (when mixed with water). I recommend you go with the smaller option if you're still considering trying this product.

This is my first time trying a protein powder and I will say that I was not disappointed! So far, I've only tried mixing it with almond milk and making protein waffles. The chocolate flavor has a nice, subtle taste and I haven't had any digestive problems. This is a really good choice for vegans who want to get more protein in their diet!
