Never order this protein
1The absolute worst tasting protein I've ever had and I've tried dozens of vegan proteins. It's grainy, tastes super earthy / like dirt with a hint of chai spices. Unsweet and adding more chai spices doesn't make it drinkable. I typically chug my protein shakes too, so it's not like I demand the highest of flavors. Much better tasting options at the same or less expensive price points and with the same or better ingredients and nutriunt profiles. MyProtein, y'all should really drink your own products before selling 🤢🤮Goes Well With:Nothing

Astonished
5So annoyed to order vanilla chai by mistake (I hate chai tea). But OMG I was astonished i really liked the flavor (thank goodness). I’ve tried lots of vegetarian proteins and with the discounts they tend to offer, this has now become my #1. Just got a banana one today to try something different - sadly the 30serving tub opened during delivery. Powder everywhere. Yet to discover how good the customer service is ;-)Goes Well With:Water or oat milk - I tend to have double the water suggested (as water is good for me!) Perhaps that why I don’t get mixing issues.Â

Weird Minty Aftertaste
2I haven't bought a ton of different plant proteins, but this one is by far the worst one. It's not HORRIBLE by any means, it's just incredibly mediocre. Mixes poorly, chalky, grainy, too sweet, chemical tasting from the artificial sugar they keep insisting on using, and has a weird, minty aftertaste that you shouldn't be getting from a vanilla powder. They should rename this product to "The OKAYEST Plant Protein" because the penultimate it is certainly not.Goes Well With:I haven't found anything, really. It's not very good.

These are great!
5I love these protein powders! I have only tried the mocha and the banana bread flavors, but I just ordered the tiramisu also. I like to blend the flavors together too. Most vegan protein powders have a different texture than that of whey or they have a weird taste and don’t mix well, so I have to doctor them up a bit. I use a blender and blend these with frozen banana chunks, add a little baking cocoa (only 10 extra cals) and some Splenda to cut the bitterness, and then use some unsweetened cranberry juice for tartness + some water. It comes out so good, and it can be higher or low in calories depending on what you add. Goes Well With:The mocha flavor goes well with frozen cherries & bananas also. :)

Grainy / chalky
3As others mentioned, it has pretty poor mix ability. I mix mine in my blender and it's still grainy. The flavor is ok, but is awkward with the bad texture. I also think the lid was poorly made, as the threads really struggle to connect (maybe a one off but potentially cheap plastic molding that could be improved)

Affordable alternative to whey
4I feel like people like to complain a lot about things and have high expectations of alternatives. Yes, the mixability is at times a pain, but I stick it in the blender it and it mixes perfectly, add more water or use a spoon when using your shaker. This is plant protein, it will always have a different texture, and requires more time and patience to breakdown in a shaker. I'm grateful there is an affordable alternative to animal protein, which imo tastes disgusting and has a strong bovine taste I can no longer digest. Yes, it's grainy/chalky, but personally I do not mind. I think this is down to preference and how you deal with texture. In terms of effectiveness, it must be effective because I am notorious for not eating enough protein and I am definitely seeing quick recovery times and muscle retention. On days I am not working out, I have a smoothie with water, oat milk, fruits, and spinach with a scoop of this protein as a meal. I don't think this is a bad product, I also don't know what would make it exceptional, but it is definitely an affordable alternative.

Intestinal Distress
3I’m rating this a 3 based on the flavor and mix ability. It’s quite grainy and the mocha flavor isn’t great. The real reason I’m sharing for mothers is because this is the first vegan protein that has caused me serious intestinal distress. I tried it over a week, thinking that maybe it could have been one of a thousand things that caused stomach issues but it seems like this was the culprit. Sample it before you commit to it.

THE Plant Protein in Vanilla Chai is great for vegans and those with some allergies
5Processing and shipping for my orders from My Protein is always quick (at my door in 2-3 days usually). I also love THE Plant Protein in Vanilla Chai powder flavor and that it's vegan. It seems to be the best protein powder option for some of my friends who have gluten, dairy, and/or added sugar allergies. Please continue making it! Goes Well With:I personally love to blend one scoop with almond or oat milk, a banana, and spirulina for protein smoothie after a workout. I have tried the same protein powder in Mocha, but did not like the mix with banana, otherwise I thought the taste for the Mocha flavor alone was just okay.

Good alternative to whey
4Tastes better than the other plant based isolate proteins but still not quite as good as regular whey/isolate. Has a more chalky/powdery consistency and doesn’t mix as well either. Given limited options this is a perfectly good alternative to whey for those trying to eat less dairy or go vegan/plant based.

Not worth it
1This protein isn’t terrible if you are on a budget and don’t want to take whey. Personally, not a fan of the taste or the added ingredients (primarily bcaas). I took this powder for 2 months a while ago and I got serious acne from it, I hopped off and switched to 1st Phorm protein and my skin cleared, it was a day and night difference. I can’t say exactly what was killing my skin ingredient wise but it was most likely the bcaas, as my new powder doesn’t have any. Again not a bad option if your skin doesn’t react with bcaas, but there’s better options out thereÂ
