Equipment Needed
- Mixing bowl
- Small bowl
- Knife
- Air fryer
- Saucepan
Recipe
Ingredients
- 2/3 lb (300g) chicken breast (diced)
- 3 tbsp. corn flour
- 2-3 spring onions (chopped)
- 1 tsp. sesame oil
- 1 tbsp. light soy sauce
- 1 tsp. garlic (grated)
- 2 tbsp. honey
- 2 tbsp. light soy sauce
- 2 tbsp. ketchup
- 1 tbsp. sesame oil
- 1 tbsp. white rice vinegar
- Sesame seeds
- Chives (finely chopped)
- Rice
- Edamame beans
Instructions
First, place the diced chicken in a bowl with the marinade ingredients. Mix well to coat everything evenly, then set aside for 15 minutes.
In the meantime, prepare the sticky sauce by adding the honey, light soy sauce, ketchup, sesame oil, and white rice vinegar to a small bowl. Mix well, then set aside.
Next, add the corn flour to the marinated chicken and mix until well-coated. Put the chicken pieces in the air fryer for 10-12 minutes until cooked through and crispy on the outside. Halfway through cooking, take the chicken pieces out of the air fryer and give them a toss.
Heat the sticky sauce in a pan until it starts to bubble. Add the cooked chicken pieces and chopped spring onions to the pan and stir to coat everything well.
Serve immediately with a sprinkle of sesame seeds and chopped chives to garnish. Make it a meal with a side of rice and edamame beans.

Batch cooking
Batch cooking is basically cooking in bulk. It’s a great way to meal prep and can often save you money in the long run too.
Review the ingredients on your recipe and then increase volumes appropriately so you can store some for later.
Generally, prepped meals stored in a fridge are good for three days after cooking. If you freeze immediately after cooking, prepped meals can last 3-4 months.
How to Package Sticky Sesame Chicken Safely
