As the title says, the EAAs taste horrible but I'm able to get them down if I drop the powder directly into my mouth and wash down with water. Most importantly, do not follow the dosing or information that is on the packet! 1 scoop is equal to 2.2 grams so make sure to calculate accordingly!

This product was cheap and has everything I need but the label and serving size is pretty confusing to someone who wouldn't know what they were looking at. It says the serving size is 1/3rd of a scoop which is 15 grams... but the scooper is a 5 gram scoop... so the serving size is 3 scoops? I have experience reading labels so I was able to figure it out but most likely a simple typo.

Branched-chain amino acid supplements are a dime a dozen, but shopping for essential amino acids is surprisingly challenging, which is odd, because with branched-chain amino acids you are really only meeting half your amino acid needs. Perhaps it is because they are more expensive, but frankly it is worth it because why leave out all those other vitally-important amino acids? I do not want to buy BCAAs, I ONLY want to buy EAAs, and this is one of the only - and probably the cheapest, especially when on sale - essential amino acid supplements I have been able to find, it is really encouraging to see SOMEONE carry such a product, and as seems tobe the case with most MyProtein products, there is no proprietary "fluff" in this to inflate the price, just straight EAAs. I use them most often before fasted workouts or before long workouts such as long runs or rides, from what I've read they are pure enough and metabolized quickly enough for your body to begin rebuilding broken down muscle before you even finish exercise, so for example you can do fasted workouts and get all the fat-burning and other benefits without worrying about your body cannibalizing it's own muscle like it normally would. I have also read consuming more than 10g at a time is pointless and actually somewhat counter-productive, the extra will just be metabolized into sugar, and serving size and instructions on this are consistent with that. Really look forward to trying taking them slowly throughout a REAL long event like marathon or half-iron and see if my body is still as destroyed as usual after. No matter how much I shake this stuff up after putting it in a water bottle, it always seems to cake up just a bit somewhere around the lip, and seems to clump together a little also, a handful of clumps seem to always stick to the inside of the bottle so need to rinse it out and empty into my mouth to actually get all the EAAs in my system, so doesn't mix quite perfectly but not a deal-breaker for me.

I didn't discover Aminos until recently when I learnt about how important they are for not losing muscle so bought this product and it's really made a difference I think. Tastes good and fairly easy to mix too so can't complain. #winning

Goes Well With:

Water but don't mix too diluted as it doesn't taste as nice.
