We all crave ice cream sometimes but don't always want something high-carb and loaded with sugar. That's where this treat comes in.

These Healthier Ice Cream Bars by @raziyyz are a high-protein, low-cal substitute for ice cream. This frozen dessert will satisfy your sweet tooth while helping you reach your nutrition goals.

Plus, you only need eight simple ingredients! Let's check it out.

Servings
6-8 bars

Ingredients

  • 1 & 1/2 cups fat-free Greek yogurt
  • 3 tbsp plain light cream cheese (Razi uses 95% light)
  • 1 tbsp honey (as the sweetener)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup frozen blueberries
  • 1 scoop Myprotein Vanilla Impact Whey
  • 1/2 a heaping cup dark chocolate (Razi used Lily's)
  • 2 tsp coconut oil (to melt the chocolate)

Instructions

1.

Add the yogurt, cream cheese, honey, vanilla extract, blueberries, and protein powder to a food processor and blend until smooth.

2.

Line a tin with parchment paper and pour in your mixture.

3.

Freeze for one hour. Cut into six bars.

4.

Lightly coat each bar in the melted chocolate. Freeze for five more minutes. Enjoy!

5.

Notes:

  • Melt the dark chocolate by either: adding it to a bowl and placing it on top of a steaming pot of hot water, stirring until melted, OR microwaving in 30-second intervals and mixing until melted
  • If you’d like to sub out the protein powder, just use a flavored Greek yogurt OR plain Greek yogurt with more sweetener
  • Use ANY fruits and flavours of your choice!
  • Allow your bars to thaw for a few minutes at room temp when you store them in the freezer to eat in the future
