Berries: Low in Sugar, High in Fibre

On a scale from 1-10, Cohnan gives berries a perfect 10 when considering fat loss. Berries are an excellent choice because even though they taste very sweet, they’re actually low in sugar. Berries also provide high amounts of fibre, an essential nutrient.
Strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, whichever your preference, these fruits provide a sweet treat that nourishes the body and will keep you on track with your nutrition plan.
Apples: A Gut-Friendly Snack

An apple a day keeps the doctor away, and apparently, excess fat too. Cohnan ranks apples an impressive 9/10 for weight loss. A major benefit of apples is that they are extremely filling, helping you feel satiated.
Apples are also a good source of fibre and antioxidants, which can promote gut health. Plus, this fruit is super easy to prepare; you can slice it up or simply bite into it. An apple makes for a great post-workout snack or midday pick-me-up.

Kiwi: The Vitamin C Powerhouse

According to Cohnan, kiwis rank an 8 on the fat loss scale. A huge perk of eating kiwis that many might not know is that they’re extremely high in Vitamin C.
Kiwis also promote digestion through a high fibre content and a unique enzyme called Actinidin. These small fruits are super tasty and packed with powerful nutrients, providing a great option for weight loss and general health.
Pineapple: The Tropical Treat that Promotes Digestion

Pineapple comes in at a 7/10, and for good reason. Similar to kiwi, pineapple contains fibre and natural enzymes that promote digestion. Pineapple does have a decent amount of natural sugar, but can still be beneficial for a weight loss nutrition plan. Just like with anything else, moderation is key.
Grapes: Quality Treat or Sneaky Sugar Bomb?

While grapes are a super convenient snack, Cohnan explains that these tasty fruits are “sneaky sugar bombs” and thus only score a 5/10.
Due to their high sugar content and the fact that they’re easy to overeat, grapes aren’t the best option when trying to lose fat.
Bananas: The Perfect Pre-Workout

It wouldn’t be a list of beneficial fruits without bananas. Cohnan gave this popular fruit a solid 8/10. The ambassador explains that bananas make the perfect pre-workout fuel.
Bananas provide the carbs necessary to energize you pre-workout and are quite filling at the same time. Plus, they’re super versatile—you can eat them plain, add toppings like nut butter and dark chocolate, or blend them into smoothies. Definitely a win.
Dates: Is the Nutrition Worth the Sugar?

Tragically, Cohnan gave dates a disappointing 4/10. The trainer elaborates that dates are “sugar cubes in disguise”, and thus, while the fruit definitely has beneficial nutrients, the sugar content is too high to be a helpful snack for weight loss.
