Amazing Value & Better Than I Expected!

I was looking forward to trying this out (unflavored) but was skeptical about the handful of negative reviews due to taste. Not sure what the complaint is. I'm not terribly picky, but I thought adding a scoop with another scoop of flavored whey protein was still enjoyable. It diluted the flavor a bit but nothing to an awful taste of leucine powder. Really it reminded me of a meal replacement type of taste & texture. I'll even be considering using this for more savory dishes too! Final thoughts - not as good as typical flavored protein powders, but by all means the taste is tolerable and easy enough to mask. Can't beat the value either!
Goes Well With:
- Other flavored protein powders (imo) - Peanut butter, chocolate, or cacao powder

Inedible

In more than two decades of protein-powder consumption, this was the first and only product that I have ever thrown out before finishing. I love the MyProtein brand, but this pea protein was so terrible that I threw out the entire bag after only one use. I would like to see more non-dairy proteins offered by MyProtein. It astounds me that enough people must buy this particular product for them to keep making and selling it.

Amazing value, but discontinued?

I loved this stuff, but it's been out of stock for 4 months at least! Is it discontinued? Say it ain't so! I bought 22lbs of it to help me get through the school year. Much better than the brown rice protein, which is gritty and has an off-putting smell. This stuff was just great value! I haven't found anything better than it, and I've tried a couple new brands this summer.
Goes Well With:
Soymilk and mild fruit smoothies

Easy to mix

Mixes easily on its own in a mug, mixed with a rod. I mix slowly adding water until it gets to be a sort of foam, then add to other foods. Once mixed with water, it can be added easily to just about anything - I add to prepared oatmeal for breakfast. Yes, I'm weird. Easily mixed into soups or used in place of starch thickeners. Taste is like very mild pea soup. Hope this comes back in stock again, soon.

Absolutely Horrible

This pea protein taste absolutely horrible. It is unquestionably the worst protein supplement I've ever had and in the mix of the worst tasting things I've had in my life (right up there with castor oil). I haven't found a single thing to mask the taste. In fact the other review seem awful questionable given my unpleasant experience with this protein powder. The only thing that seems to mask the taste and even then, marginally, are really acidic juices; apple, pineapple or grapefruit juice. Don't purchase this even though the price is great, it sucks, since you won't use it.

Nothing. It taste like garbage.

An amazing protein that I'm super happy I gave a chance to. I now greatly prefer it to whey protein.

Skim milk, cocoa powder and peanut butter all mixed together in a blender. Add a banana for extra carbs and it's to die for.

Great product - But less sodium would be ideal

Great product unflavored and good vegetarian protein with no side effects of diary. Glad that there are choices out there like this. Wish there was less sodium on it. Other ingredients are alright. This limits the number of scoops i can take in a day. Otherwise i would be all over this.
Goes Well With:
Anything you can think of. Breakfast - pancake mix, oatmeal, smoothies - watermelon with protein powder, soups- cabbage soup,... just go with your imagination..

Good Stuff

Pea Protein mixes easily. No clumping. Taste is as expected, as you are not getting a mouthful of sweeteners etc. I am thankful that Myprotein is one that is offering something besides a product that is sweetened with sucralose. Anytime you stray from what God and nature intended, you are asking for trouble. Now if they could get this stuff flavored naturally like they do the impact whey with stevia and natural flavors.
Goes Well With:
Almond milk, coconut milk, carob powder, stevia.

Good Value - Trick to improve taste

I tried different ways to improve the taste of the pea protein. Mixing it with cold water does not work. What improved the taste for me was to mix the pea protein with hot water to a thick soup consistency and add a little olive oil and lemon juice. Tastes like hummus!
